Footage of women trapped by mob in Youhanabad tragedy emerges
A case has been registered against the attackers on the request of Maryam Safdar
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Footage of a woman trapped by mob in the aftermath of Youhanabad tragedy has surfaced on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
The woman, Maryam Safdar, tried to get out of mob by driving the car onto the metro track but was refused entry by the guards despite pleading for a way out.
A case has been registered against the attackers on the request of Maryam Safdar.
Resident of Gulshan Ravi, Lahore Maryam Safdar was going to Kasur to meet her sister-in-law when she was encircled by a mob agitated from Youhanabad tragedy.
According to the report filed by Maryam Safdar, the mob looted her possessions including her jewelry, driving license, purse and mobile. Furthermore she was maltreated and as a result her fingers broke and her head burst due to torture.
When the woman tried to escape, the mob started to hurl stones at her car. The car was eventually totaled by damaged sustained from mob but police personnel got her to safety soon afterwards.
