Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani telephoned Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to know about the damages caused by the cyclone Phet and relief works being carried out in the affected areas.PM Gilani instructed both the Chief Ministers to take all possible measures to ensure that people are safe and the affected people get all the help they require. PM also instructed chairman National Disaster Management to tour the region for assessing the damage caused during the storm. PM also instructed the both provincial governments to enhance cooperation with Mari time Security Agency for ensuring coordinated relief efforts.The provincial ministers in Balochistan have decided to give up one month salaries for relief activates. CM Raisani has also allocated Rs 50 million for the rescue operations.
