IHC permits Raheela Magasi to take part in Senate election
Earlier, Magasi was declared ineligible by the ECP
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday has permitted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Raheela Magasi to take part in the Senate election.
Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared Magasi ineligible as candidate of the Senate election. Justice Athar Minallah said that a candidate could not contest from any province other than her province. The ECP should hold notification in case she wins, he added.
On the other hand, PML-N has announced that Magasi and Zafar Iqbal Jhgara are the nominated candidates of the party.
