PML-N, PPP direct members to return from foreign visits before Senate elections

PML-N has summoned the meeting of Punjabs Parliamentary Party on February 27.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have directed their overseas members to return to Pakistan before Senate Elections, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

According to sources, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has directed to contact the MNA’s and MPA’s who are on an unofficial foreign visit as seven of the PPP’s parliamentarians from all four provinces were informed to be abroad.

On the other hand, PML-N has also ordered to ensure the return of all the parliamentarians before senate elections. Incharge ministers will take steps for the return of the members in their group. Four of PML-N’s members are said to be abroad.

According to PML-N, the concerned members have been contacted and will return to the country till February, 27.

Moreover, PML-N has summoned the meeting of Punjab’s Parliamentary Party on February 27 however, another meeting will also take place on March 4, one day before senate elections.
