Faisalabad: One killed in clash between students, armed men

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – At least one passer-by was killed in a clash between Islamia College students and unknown armed men in Faisalabad today (Thursday), Dunya News reported.

Unidentified men, staying in a private hotel, engaged in a dispute with the students and opened fire claiming the life of 26-year-old passer-by named Imran.

After the incident, all the students gathered at Sargodha road and started throwing rocks on the private hotel, banks and shops.

According to the students two unknown armed men along with their guard, wearing the upper of elite forces started indiscriminate firing at them.

Heavy contingent of police reached the scene but failed to handle the violent students.

The students blocked the road for at least one hour.

Later, negotiations were held between the students and college administration to control the situation.
