PM Nawaz meets Turkish counterpart in Islamabad

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu arrived in Islamabad on two-day visit.

LAHORE (Web Desk) - The meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu is underway in Islamabad, the Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday. 

Both the leaders are discussing ways and means to further expand their bilateral relations particularly in the fields of trade and economy.

They held one on one meeting which was followed by delegation level talks. It is expected that Pakistan and Turkey will sign a number of MOUs and agreements for promotion of cooperation in different fields.

Earlier, on arrival at the Prime Minister house, the visiting dignitary was accorded a warm welcome.

On the occasion, anthems of both the countries were played. A smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces presented guard of honor.
