6 robbers killed after encounters with police in Pano Akil, Kasur
The police said that the slain robbers were involved in crimes like street robbery and murder
PANO AKIL/KASUR (Dunya News) – At least six robbers were killed after two separate police encounters in Kasur and Pano Akil. One of the slain robbers has Rs 13 lakh bounty on him, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, the police caught the robbers red handed at Kot Bilo area of Pano Akil. The robbers were armed and opened fires upon arrival of the police, after which, the police summoned backup contingent from Dadlu and other police stations. At least four robbers were killed there after a successful police encounter. Their bodies were sent to the hospital.
Meanwhile, two robbers were killed in Mandi Usman Wala area of Kasur in another police encounter. Reportedly they opened the fire after getting caught red handed which led to the police encounter. Following the encounter, two robbers were killed while another two successfully escaped.
One of those killed in Kasur was identified as Wazir who went by the alias Naki had a bounty of Rs 13 lakh over his head by the Punjab government.
The other robber was identified as Akram who went with alias Akari. The police said that the slain robbers were involved in crimes like street robbery and murder.
