#ImplementBiometricSystem, demand Pakistani tweeps
Imran Khan tweeted the demand with the hashtag and tweeps followed the lead to trend it on top
LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Election rigging has been a serious concern for Pakistanis. Whichever party loses the elections in Pakistan immediately starts blaming the winning party to have rigged the election while the winning party tries to play down the allegations, no matter how strong the evidence is.
The perfect solution to this problem is, however, electronic verification of votes as it will not only simplify the process but will also make it impossible for anyone to rig the elections. It has been seen on number of occasions that fake votes are cast in the name of dead people and people who never even existed. It will be easier to filter such bogus votes through biometric system and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has demanded biometric voting in his press conference on Monday.
It was some PTI workers who started the trend first but the hashtag got viral particularly after Imran Khan tweeted it himself and tweeps followed his lead.
