Tweeps trend #blackout following National Grid's technical issue
Electricity supply to numerous cities of Punjab, Balochistan, KP and Sindh cut off
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The National Grid on Saturday night encountered a technical issue that resulted in a complete black out in numerous cities of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pkahtunkhwa (KP). The tweeple proved that the electricity supply is inversely proportional to the number of tweets by each user.
The Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of the issue and directed the authorities concerned to fix the problem and resume the power supply on emergency basis.
On the other hand, Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that the transmission line in Naseerabad was blasted with a bomb. He said that this is the third criminal activity in Naseerabad in the last two weeks.
The water supply in Karachi has been reported to remain cut off through the night following the power break-down.
