PTI exhibited flexibility but govt didn't reciprocate, he alleged

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday said that PTI lawmakers are ready to return to assemblies as soon as the judicial commission to probe the alleged election rigging is formed, Dunya News reported.

Addressing the press along with party leaders in Multan, Qureshi said PTI exhibited flexibility but the government, he alleged, did not reciprocate.

He said PTI gave preference to state owing to the incidents of terrorism, alleging that Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) has only been politicking which, he said, kills the purpose of the dialogue.

Qureshi also said that the party should definitely participate in the Senate elections.

He said the government doesn’t have experienced team which is why, he claimed, the petrol shortage occurred because of government’s substandard performance.

He said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is still in alliance with PML-N despite the petrol crisis for ‘own benefits’.

PTI vice chairman said that the transparent elections are need of the hour and urged the government to decide on affairs with seminaries and religious schools. He also demanded the government to take steps to bring Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) to the mainstream.

Qureshi also confirmed that no meeting between PTI chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri is scheduled in Jeddah.
