Petrol crisis, Humayun Khan Mandokhel decides to separate from govt benches

The senator will officially submit an application to the chairman senate on January 20
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Senator Humayun Khan mandokhel on Monday has decided to separate himself from the government bench. Mandokhel made this decision with a view that the government has been unsuccessful in resolving the current petroleum crisis.
He expressed these views in an exclusive interview with Dunya News.
The senator will officially submit an application to the chairman of the senate on January 20 (tomorrow). Mandokhel will sit in the opposition bench once he has officially submitted the application.
An on-going petroleum crisis has rocked the country which the government is still trying to resolve. Various regions of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have been hit with a severe shortage of petrol. Government has denied the claims persistently that the crisis occurred due to economic reasons.
The Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in a press conference earlier today admitted his mistake for crisis. He said that the issue will be resolved within the ongoing week. He said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has also taken notice of the crisis.
