Transport, petrol pumps and hotels see a shutdown in the city.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A peaceful mourning day is being observed on the appeal of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) against the extra-judicial and terrorist killings of their workers today (Sunday) in Karachi.

The public and private transportation, petrol pumps, hotels and shops have been shut down in the city.

People are facing difficulties due to unavailability of public transport as the rickshaw and taxi drivers are getting arbitrary rent from the people.

On the other hand, the MQM’s supporters in Hyderabad have also shut down their markets following a black day on the call of MQM.

All the busy markets including vegetable markets have been closed down to record protest against the killing of MQM worker.

Moreover, the leadership of MQM has decided to continue mourning tomorrow as well.
