LHCBA elections underway

Twenty-two contestants are competing on for a total of eight seats.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Polling for the annual elections for Lahore High Court Bar Association is underway on Saturday.

Twenty-two contestants would be competing on 8 seats. Chaudhry Ishtiaq of Hamid Khan Group and Arshad Jahangir Khan of Asma Jahangir Group would be contesting over the presidential seat whereas 10 counselors would be contesting for 3 seats of Vice President, 5 for 2 seats of General Secretary, 2 for a single seat of Joint Secretary and 3 would be contesting for the position of Finance Secretary.

Polling started at 9 am and would conclude at 5 pm with one hour lunch break at 2 pm.

Strict security arrangements were ensured at the occasion.
