Thar famine claims two more lives, death toll rises to 187

THARPARKAR (Dunya News) – Famine in Thar continues to take lives of innocent children as two more children died on Sunday mounting the death toll to 187 in 74 days, Dunya News reported.
Dearth of food and water has created an alarming situation in Thar that has engulfed lives of many small children.
Earlier, according to the details, a 20-day old Shehzeen died at Diplo Hospital while there were 68 children still being treated at civil hospital Mithi whereas two children were shifted to Hyderabad in the wake of their critical condition.
Lack of medical facilities has put innocent lives at risk while the administration failed in meeting the needs of the affected people miserably. People remained devoid of wheat aid in Chachro whereas the fifth phase of assistance could not be initiated.
