LHC addresses delayed old-age pension petitions

Public prosecutor affirmed that the old-age pensioners will not face any difficulties in the future.

LAHORE (Dunya News)—Lahore High Court has dealt with all the petitions regarding the delayed old-age pensions saying that from next month, the old-age pensioners will be given additional pensions. The written response by Secretary Finance has been submitted.

The lawyer of old-age pensioners Samra Malik took a stance before LHC’s Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah that the Punjab government is not taking any measures for the old age pensioners.

The public prosecutor submitted a written response by Secretary Finance and said that a plan has been drafted to make the payments to old-age pensioners and from next month onwards the pensioners would receive the remaining payments as well as the additional pensions.

He also affirmed that the old-age pensioners will not face any difficulties in the future and the court thereafter, dealt with all the pending pension petitions.
