Quetta: Security forces launched operation against polio team attack
One suspect has been killed where as three have been arrested.
Quetta (Dunya News) – Law enforcement agencies in Quetta have launched a search operation against the suspects involved in attacking the polio teams on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
One suspect was killed the exchange of firing whereas three others were arrested as the police recovered heavy arms and ammunitions from them.
On a tip off received about the presence of criminals involved in attacking the polio teams in the labor colony of Quetta, the police, ATF and FC launched a combined search operation. During the operation, the suspects opened fire on the police from a house in the neighborhood. The police force responded with retaliatory firing. One suspect who identified as Ghulan Sadiq was killed in the exchange of firing.
The police force also recovered heavy arms and weaponry including Kalashnikovs, pistols and five hand grenades. ATF constables Din Muhammad, Muhammad Hashim and Farooq were injured in the firing. The injured police officers have been shifted to CMH. According to the doctors, the condition of the injured police officers is under control. The suspects are under police interrogation at some unknown place.
