Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that the power crisis is hitting the countrys economy badly, adding that Punjab is the worst-affected in this regard. Addressing the traders and industrialists today, Shahbaz deplored that loadshedding has rendered millions of people jobless. He maintained that no plan could address the issue within days and added that had Bhasha Dam built, no loadshedding would have been carried out. The CM also extended apology for police highhandedness on the protesters during a demonstration against loadshedding in Punjab. He said that two holidays a week would save around 1,000megawatts of electricity.
