Sindh Cabinet to inspect Thar famine roots

Early this morning one more child died and death toll has reached to 54 in 44 days.

 THARPARKAR (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah along with other ministers arrived in 65 protocol cars at Mithi for Sindh Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

According to details, CM Sindh on helicopter and 18 other ministers along with three advisers in more than 65 protocol cars reached Circuit House Mithi where Sindh Cabinet meeting is underway.

In the meeting, issues related to intense Thar famine, lack of medicines, unavailability of doctors and paramedical staff, dry wells and shut water plants, bags full of mud and unbearable situation of Thar dearth victims are being taken under consideration.

Investigation is likely to be made on the corruption of mineral water bottles that had been supplied to Thar hospitals including Mubarik Rand Health Centre.

However, the meeting will also uncover those who have not allowed 4,000 mineral water bottles to reach Khensar Hospital.

Earlier this morning, Thar claimed one more live in Umer Kot Civil Hospital mounting the death toll to 54 in a span of 44 days.

According to details, two-year old Arbab Rajhar died in Umer Kot Civil Hospital.
