Lahore: PML-N lawyers manhandle Dunya News team in session court premises

A lawyer identified as Azam Chohan tried to snatch camera from Dunya News team.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Lawyers of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) rough up Dunya News team in the session court premises during coverage of NA-122 vote recount issue.

The staff members were present in the session court when some lawyers approached and tried to snatch the camera. They also tried to pull wires of the DSNG.

President of Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari has demanded cancellation of licenses of the lawyers who attacked the reporter and other staff members.

President of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Rana Azeem announced to hold countrywide protests against the incident at 4:00pm today.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and asked concerned authorities to submit a report.

Moreover, Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid also condemned the incident.

Talking to Dunya News, Lahore Bar President Ishtiaq Chaudhry assured full cooperation in this regard. He said show-cause notice will be issued to those involved in the action.

CCPO Lahore announced that SP City will inquire the matter and stern action will be taken if any policeman found involved.
