Maryam Nawaz appointment: IHC summons reply from federation
IHC has summoned replies from all respondents in 15 days.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Islamabad High Court`s (IHC) Justice Atharminallah heard a petition against appointment of Maryam Nawaz as chairperson of Prime Minister’s Youth Business Loan Scheme.
The petition was filed by a citizen Ashiq Bhatti.
During case proceedings, plaintiff’s lawyer Yasir Chaudhry argued that this was a nepotistic appointment as the government granted the post without publishing an advertisement for the seat.
The position was given to Maryam Nawaz because she is daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said.
Meanwhile, the court issued notices to Maryam Nawaz, federation and other respondents in the case and directed them to submit reply within 15 days.
