Solution to political crisis lies in negotiations rather than resignations, says JI

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) headed by General Secretary JI Liaqat Baloch met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss the matter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) resignations on Wednesday.

During the meeting, JI requested PM not to accept the resignations of PTI leaders.

PM questioned under what option should the speaker hold PTI resignations?

Liaqat Baloch asked to hold them under the same option they have not been approved yet.

He further added that PTI should also take their resignations back as the solution to political crisis lies in negotiations.

PM assured that doors are always open for dialogue.

JI delegation appealed PM to focus on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) along with the political crisis.

Ongoing political situation, operation Zarb-e-Azb and Karachi operation also came under consideration.
