Protesters said Speaker Ayaz Sadiq cannot hide his defeat behind a stay order

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Expanding its scope of agitation, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) protested outside Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office today (Tuesday) in Islamabad over delay in NA-122 vote recount, Dunya News reported. Protesters said on the occasion that Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who had won the election from this constituency in General Election on May 11, 2013, cannot hide his defeat behind a stay order.

PTI leaders Azam Khan Sawati, Aamir Mughal, local leaders and workers participated in the protest. Protesters chanted slogans against the government and burnt rulers’ statutes on this occasion.

Addressing the protesters, PTI leader said that Ayaz Sadiq has got stay order against vote recount in NA-122. He said that Ayaz Sadiq wants to hide his rigging behind stay order. They demanded vote recount to be done immediately because Ayaz Sadiq cannot hide behind stay order for long.
