PTI Core Committee decides to continue sit-in against government
Public meetings will continue throughout the country, discipline will also be ensured, PTI decides
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee has decided to continue the sit-in in Islamabad against the government. The meeting held today (Monday) decided to hold public meetings throughout the country. It was also decided in the meeting that strict discipline will be ensured in the future gatherings.
The meeting was held at Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala under Imran’s headship. Committee also formed the fact-finding committee regarding Multan incident. The committee will be headed by Ejaz Chaudhry. Core Committee decided that only 12 leaders will be present at the stage in the future gatherings, out of which 6 will be local while the other 6 will be named by Imran Khan. It was said in the meeting that load shedding hasn’t reduced but rates have been increased. 80 percent extra amounts were taken from the users in electricity bills. Even now, extra 1 billion rupees are being taken in the name of electricity bills daily.
Talking to media after the meeting, Secretary Information PTI Shirien Mazari said that Imran Khan did not pay electricity bill in solidarity with the poor people of the country. She demanded that the government must return billions of rupees to the consumers in the name of electricity bills.
