Hashmi had left PTI, alleging that a 'third force' was behind ongoing sit-in in Islamabad.

MULTAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers on Saturday morning surrounded former party president Javed Hashmi`s vehicle and chanted slogans against him.

Javed Hashmi was surrounded when he was returning home after attending funeral prayers of Salman and Muawiya, the victims who lost their lives among seven others during stampede in PTI rally.

Agitated PTI workers chanted ‘daghi, daghi’ slogans against Javed Hashmi. Later, police intervened and managed to disperse the crowd.

The veteran politicians previously faced the same situation after he offered Eid-ul-Azha prayer on October 6. Few days back, the students of Nishtar Medical College surrounded Hashmi`s car and chanted ‘go Nawaz go’ and ‘daghi, daghi’ slogans.

The angry students complained Hashmi that he will join PML-N after winning the election, upon which Hashmi promised he will not join PML-N party. He promised he will continue as an independent member of the National Assembly.

Hashmi had a fallout with PTI chairman Imran Khan over his decision to march towards the Prime Minister House in the Red Zone area of Islamabad.

He alleged that a `third force` was behind the PTI’s ongoing sit-in to oust Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Javed Hashmi is now campaigning for by-elections in NA-149 constituency of Multan as an independent candidate.
