CM Shahbaz meets British High Commissioner
Shahbaz Sharif praised British assistance for Pakistan's development.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif met British High Commissioner Philip Barton in Pakistan on Friday and discussed to promote bilateral relationship, Dunya News reported.
CM Punjab said Pakistan and Britain enjoy a historic friendly relationship. Britain has been a significant trade partner of Pakistan and Britain’s cooperation in education, health and other sectors is praiseworthy.
He informed Skill Development Program is successfully running in Punjab by the assistance of Department for International Development (DFID) and Punjab has achieved satisfactory outcome regarding school reform roadmap.
Shahbaz Sharif further said an extensive public health program has also been initiated.
Philip Barton said Britain gives a lot of importance to relationship with Pakistan and shall continue collaborating in the country’s progress and development.
