Security tightened in Lahore for Eid
Police has tightened security at the entry and exit routes of Lahore in the wake of terror threats.
LAHORE (Dunya News)— The mosques, mausoleums and shrines in Lahore are at the risk of terror attacks on Eid-ul-Azha. As a result, the leaves of Punjab police officials have been cancelled.
According to the sourcesa heavy contingent of police officials has been deployed in sensitive areas of Lahore. However, in this regard the Interior Ministry has issued notification regarding their posts to the Punjab police of Lahore.
Police has tightened security at the entry and exit routes of Lahore in the wake of terror threats.
IG Punjab Mushtak Sukhera has said that the leaves of the police force have been cancelled keeping in view the country’s security situation. Moreover, the policemen who were already on a leave have been called back to perform their duties on Eid.
