Police recovers young nieces declared Vanni in Rahim Yar Khan

RAHIM YAR KHAN: (Dunya News) – Police recovered two young girls in Rahim Yar Khan who had been declared Vanni by the local committee of elders (Panchayat), Dunya News reported.
According to the details, in a village named Kot Sabzal, situated near Rahim Yar Khan, a woman named Zameera Bibi had been married to Gulbadin 12 years ago. Zameera’s brother Manzoor married his brother-in-law’s sister after a few years. As a result, Zameera Bibi was sent home without her daughters. 6 months ago, Panchayat declared Zameera’s daughters Farzana (7) and Amna (9) as Vanni and ordered the two girls to be married to the sons of their uncle named as Gul Hassan (10) and Mir Hassan (8).
When Zameera Bibi came to know of it, she asked for Police’s help. Taking action on the case immediately, Police recovered both the girls and Head Panch Allah Wasaaya was arrested along with 4 other members of the Panchayat. Father of the girls Gulbadin and uncle Birbal have escaped. Kids and arrested accused have been presented before the court in Sadiqabad.
