LHC concludes PAT, PTI workers' detention case

PAT lawyer argued that the workers are detained even after the court has ordered to release them.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court concluded all the cases related to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers’ detention after their release, today.

As Justice Qasim Khan commenced the case hearing at Lahore high Court (LHC), Lawyer of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Ishtiaq Chaudhry informed the court that political workers are still detained by the Punjab government even after the court has ordered to set them free.

Home Secretary has no written record regarding the detention of the workers and is constantly trying to evading the issue, he added.

During the hearing Home Secretary told the court orders have been proceeded to release 551 PTI and PAT workers and surety bonds are being receive from them.
