Authorities on toes ahead of PM Nawaz's visit to Sukkur
Heavy machinery was used to remove large heap of garbage from roads.
SUKKUR (Web Desk) - Local authorities have finally pulled up their socks and made arrangements ahead of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to flood-hit areas of Sukkur on Friday.
Citizens were astonished to see sudden activeness by the local administration as cleaning workers cleared vast pool of stinking garbage scattered along the busy roads within few hours. Footpaths were re-painted as well.
According to locals, large heaps of garbage and dust were not removed during last several years despite number of complaints.
They wished that the Prime Minister should visit Sukkur once in a month to at least keep the local authorities on their toes.
