Police baton-charges protestors, fires blanks

Unarmed civilians get a taste of police brutality
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Islamabad Police baton-charged unarmed civilians over marching in crowds towards the Red Zone under the leadership of their respective anti-government leaders.
Police left no stone unturned in an effort to disperse the charged crowd and resorted to shooting rubber blanks at the public, as they refused to deter.
During the clash between the police and the protestors, one long march participant was injured, as per the Dunya News reports.
Emergency was declared at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Poly Clinic hospitals, and their respective employees were alerted to stay cautious during such a time of unrest, reportedly.
Medicines have been arranged for two thousand people at the PIMS hospital. The female ward at Poly Clinic has been emptied to facilitate the public.
The participants of the march have reached near Embassy road and the Federal Lodges, reportedly.
