Azadi March attack: Pomi Butt released on bail
Defendants� lawyer said that all offences against the accused are bailable.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Judicial Magistrate Rana Shahryar, today, accepted the bail plea of Salman Khalid alias Pomi Butt including 9 others involved in attacking the convoy of Azadi March yesterday.
Pomi Butt and his goons had attacked the caravan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Azadi March on Friday and thus were taken into custody.
The accused were taken to the Judicial Magistrate Court under high security toady. Police requested to send them on a 14-day judicial remand to which the defendants’ lawyer responded that all offences against the accused are bailable.
Judicial Magistrate granted bail to Liaqat Ali, Malik Fayyaz, Abdul Hameed, Waseem Yaqoob, Sajjad Ahmad, Aijaz Ahmad, Babar Ali and Muhammad Ilyas against the bail bonds of 1 lac each.
