PTI set to launch 'Azadi March'
PTI Azadi March will start from Zaman Park Lahore at 10:00am today (Thursday).
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Thousands of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, gathered from all over the country at the Zaman Park Lahore, will start their Azadi March at 10:00am today.
PTI chief Imran Khan will lead the Azadi March. The marchers will travel towards Islamabad to stage a sit-in to oust the government of PM Nawaz Sharif, which they say was formed after May 2013 rigged elections.
On the other hand, government blocked almost every entry point to Islamabad early Thursday, with more than 20,000 police and paramilitary forces deployed to try to thwart any anti-government rally.
Major roads have been barricaded with containers and police used excavators to dig up smaller roads.
