Ishaq Dar elected chairman of electoral reform committee
Dar said most of the work is already done, modern technology will be assessed now.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Finance Minister and prominent leader of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Ishaq Dar was elected as the chairman of electoral reform committee on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
Dar vowed that every step will be taken with mutual agreement with the committee members.
In the session of the parliamentary committee over electoral reforms, the nominated members of PML-N, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulama Islam (JUI) participated. The committee elected Dar as the chairman through vote.
Talking to the media after committee’s session, Dar said that the government will move forward with mutual cooperation on national matters. He said most of the work has already been done and that the modern technology will now be assessed.
