PPP supports democracy not govt: Gilani
Ex-PM Gilani condemned the Model Town tragedy.
MULTAN (Dunya News) – Rejecting the impression that PPP was playing the role of a friendly opposition, former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that his party was not supporting government but strengthening democracy.
Talking to Dunya News, Gilani said that only parliament can call army to assist civil administration under Article 245 of the constitution.
PPP leader said that the political parties and locals should help IDPs of North Waziristan in the best possible way.
He condemned the Model Town tragedy while refrained himself from commenting on Tahirul Qadri.
