Three FC personnel killed North Waziristan, two in Awaran

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - At least three soldiers were killed and several others were injured in a suicide attack near a military check-post in North Waziristan Agency.

According to official sources, security personnel were establishing a small checkpoint near Boya checkpost on main Datta Khel road when the suspected suicide bomber struck his vehicle into the checkpoint.

Subsequently, three FC soldiers were killed whereas several others sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, as many as two paramilitary soldiers were killed and three others injured when an explosion hit a paramilitary convoy in Awaran, about 350 kilometres away from the provincial capital Quetta.

According to officials, an FC vehicle was on a routine patrol in Mashkay area of Awaran when militants targeted it through a roadside improvised explosive device.  They said the blast also damaged the vehicle.
