Alleged blasphemy: Punjab Bar Council boycotts Geo TV
Lawyers have announced complete boycott of Geo.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Punjab Bar Council on Saturday approved a resolution condemning Geo TV for airing blasphemous content on its morning show Utho Jago Pakistan, Dunya News reported.
The resolution demanded immediate suspension of Geo TV’s broadcast.
According to lawyers’ fraternity, sentiments of millions of Muslims were hurt due to blasphemous show on the channel.
Lawyers also boycotted court proceedings in Sukkur, Multan, Fasialabad, Gujranwala and other cities. They have also announced complete boycott of Geo TV.
