PM chairs security meeting; affective action to be taken against terrorists
It is time to make the ongoing dialogue process productive, Ch Nisar Ali Khan said.
(Web Desk) – A high-level meeting on national security chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today (Monday) expressed reservation over recent attacks and decided to take affective action against those involved in terrorist activities., Dunya News reported.
The meeting was attended by Ary Chief General Raheel Sharif, DG ISI Lt. General Zaheer-ul-Islam, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatmi.
The meeting reviewed overall internal and external security situation and the ongoing dialogue process to bring peace and all the participants reiterated determination to deal with the menace of terrorism.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said all the institutions will continue to work in synergy for protection of public.
He appreciated security institutions particularly role of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) for ensuring security and peace in the country.
Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan apprised the meeting of talks with Taliban and said the Taliban committee has been asked to set a clear direction for result-oriented dialogue.
He said it is time to make the ongoing dialogue process productive. He said Taliban committee has also been asked to discuss whole agenda of Taliban Shura.
