Altaf condemns killing of Professor Saifuddin Jafri
The MQM chief demands to take notice of the target killing of Urdu speaking professionals.
LONDON (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the killing of Professor Saifuddin Jafri.
In statement issued on Monday, Altaf Hussain said that a conspiracy had been hatched in the name of sectarianism for the killing of Urdu sparking professionals including, doctors, lawyers, engineers and professors.
He said target killing of Urdu speaking professionals and failure in arresting the culprits was a question mark on the efficiency of the provincial government and administration.
Altaf Hussain demanded PM Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Gornor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan, Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah to take immediate notice of the brutal killings of Uru speaking professionals in Karachi.
He demanded to bring the culprits to justice and ensure protection of life and property of the citizens.
Professor Saifuddin Jafri of Government College of Technology was shot dead by some unknown armed men in Karachi on Monday.
According to police, unidentified gunmen opened fire on the car of car of Professor Jafri near Liaquatabad leaving him dead on the spot. His driver was also seriously injured in the firing incident and later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
