PPP asks Senator Faisal Raza Abidi to resign

The sources say that the resignation has been demanded over violation of party discipline.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has asked Faisal Raza Abidi to resign from his senate seat.
According to the sources, general secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Raja Pervez Ashraf, on the direction of party leadership on Wednesday, asked Faisal Raza Abidi to resign from Senate seat held by him.
Sources said the resignation was demanded over violation of party discipline.
It is to mention here that the PPP’s Sindh president Syed Qaim Ali Shah had issued a show cause notice to Senator Faisal Raza Abidi last month.
Senator Faisal Raza Abidi was asked to submit his explanation within seven days.
The PPP spokesperson had stated that the show cause notice was issued to Faisal Raza Abidi on violation of party policy, criticism on leadership and Constitution of Pakistan.
