Sardar Mehtab Abbasi to be next KPK governor
PML-Ns veteran leader will take oath of the office within next two days.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - PML-N has approved Sardar Mehtab Abbasi’s name for the slot of KPK governor. The new governor will take oath in the next two days.
Outgoing KPK governor Engineer Shaukatullah has sent his resignation to the President Mamnoon Hussain. After his resignation, Speaker KPK Assembly Asad Qaiser will work as acting-Governor of the province.
Engineer Shaukatullah was appointed as the governor in the previous government of Pakistan People’s Party.
There were few reservations regarding Sardar Mehtab because of his being non- Pushtoon, but PML-N has finally approved his name.
Engineer Amir Moqam of PML-N has also confirmed that Sardar Mehtab would take the oath of the office in next two days.
