Alcohol, women are brought in Parliament lodges: Jamshed Dasti

Dasti claimed he has irrefutable video evidence to prove his point.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Member National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti claimed on Thursday that women, drugs and alcohol are brought in Parliament lodges and that he has video evidence, Dunya News reported. Responding to the accusations, speaker national assembly Ayaz Sadiq asked Dasti to produce the evidence and said that the house will decide the punishment if proved wrong.
Dasti said that dancing women and alcohol worth of four to five crore rupees are brought in the lodges every year. Demanding the dope tests of members of the house, he claimed he has irrefutable video evidence to prove his point.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that if Dasti had solid evidence, he could have brought the matter up in his chambers and that if he really has evidence, strict action will be taken against culprits.
He added that if the accusations are proven wrong, the house will decide the adequate punishment for Dasti.
After national assembly’s proceedings, members national assembly lamented at Dasti’s claims and said that the speaker should take notice followed by a strict action against accusations.
