PIMS staff protests against turning hospital into ZA medical university

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) staff held strike for the second day on Tuesday to voice concerns against turning the hospital into Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Medical University, Dunya News reported.
According to reports, patients face severe difficulties amid the strike.
PIMS employees staged a sudden protest and came out after halting work and abandoning patients.
The employees closed down cardiology center, children’s hospital and OPD following which the patients faced severe difficulties.
Employees chanted slogans in favor of the demands and the protest. They demanded to separate PIMS from Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Medical University.
