Two brothers shot dead in Karachi
The incident took place despite imposition of ban on pillion riding.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Two people were shot dead in Orangi Town area of the violence-hit metropolis on Monday, Dunya News reported.
As per details, unknown gunmen riding on motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on a shop in Qasba Colony area, killing two brothers on the spot.
The victims identified as Riaz and Ibrahim belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The incident took place a day after Sindh government decided to impose a one-month ban on pillion riding in Karachi citing the recent worsening of law and order situation in the city.
Meanwhile, a suspect arrested from Machar Colony area has confessed to killing of 11 people.
Suspect Waseem will be presented before court on Tuesday.
Karachi, the largest metropolitan city of Pakistan, is riddled with targeted killings, gang wars, kidnappings for ransom, extortion and terrorism.
Targeted operations led by Rangers’ personnel with the support of police are ongoing in the city under a directive issued by the federal government against criminals already identified by federal, military and civilian agencies.
