KARACHi (Dunya News) - Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S) chairman on Saturday said that Sindh government seems non-serious on the issue of terrorism.
“No one is safe in Karachi, Sindh government should resign’’ he said this in response to the killing of party leader Maulana Usman Yar Khan in Friday’s gun attack.
The funeral prayers of slain JUI-S leader Mufti Usman Yar Khan and his two aides were offered today (Saturday) at Madrassa Jamia Darul Khair in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area.
Earlier, angry protestors came out on roads and burnt tyres in the area to protest against the incident.
Talking to media, JUI-S chief said that use of force will not resolve the issue of terrorism.
He said that JUI-S will play its role in peace talks with the Taliban, adding that a meeting of religious scholars is scheduled on Sunday to announce the strategy.
