Cabinet Committee on Security to meet today
The draft of national security policy will be approved during the meeting.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security will be held in Islamabad today (Tuesday). Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would chair the meeting.
All the chiefs of armed forces and Cabinet members of the committee will attend the meeting.
Talks with Taliban and other national issues pertaining to security will come under discussion during the meeting.
Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan would give a detailed briefing on the National Security policy.
The draft of the national security policy would be presented in the meeting. The proposed draft would consist of three parts.
The first part of the draft would be kept confidential and the second part would be about the strategic matters whereas the third part of the draft would be operational.
The main national security policy would be considered as guiding document for security of the country, internal and external security and other matters pertaining to national security.
The situation following the US drone strikes and process of talks with Taliban would also come under discussion during the meeting.
