Twin grenade attacks injure three security guards in Karachi

Three people were wounded when crackers were thrown near the offices of a private company.

KARACHI (Web Desk) - Three security guards of a private company injured in twin grenade attacks. The incident happened in the Korangi industrial area of the city, where several factories and a few media houses are located.

"Offices of the company apparently the target of the cracker attack, which wounded at least three people," senior local police official Nasir Aftab told AFP.

It was not clear who was responsible for the attack or what the motive was.

A local intelligence official also confirmed the incident.

Karachi, a city of 18 million people which contributes 42 percent of Pakistan's GDP, is rife with murder, kidnappings and has been plagued with sectarian, ethnic, and political violence for years.
