Pakistan successfully test fires Hatf-9 Nasr missile

The missile was launched through multi-tube launcher.
(Web Desk) - Pakistan Tuesday successfully test-fired a short-range missile.
The test was conducted a day after the army concluded exercises in the country s Punjab province.
"Pakistan today conducted a successful test-fire of short- range surface to surface missile Hatf IX (NASR)," the military said.
An army statement said the test-fire was conducted with successive launches of 4 missiles (Salvo) from a state of the art multi-tube launcher.
NASR, with a range of 60 km and in-flight maneuver capability, is a quick response system, with shoot and scoot attributes, it said.
"It contributes to the full spectrum deterrence against threats in view of evolving scenarios."
The Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, who witnessed the test, congratulated the scientists and engineers on this outstanding achievement which consolidates Pakistan s deterrence capability.
