Pakistan condemns US drone strike in Miranshah
FO says these strikes are a violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Pakistan has strongly condemned the US drone strike in North Waziristan in which five people, including TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud were killed.
In a statement‚ foreign office said these strikes are a violation of Pakistan s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It said there is an across the board consensus in Pakistan that these drone strikes must end.
It further said Pakistan has consistently maintained that drone strikes are counter-productive‚ entail loss of innocent civilian lives and have human rights and humanitarian implications.
