Target killers, gang war suspects among 42 held in Karachi

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Rangers and police have arrested at least 42 suspects in targeted action in different areas of the city during last 24 hours, Dunya News reported.

Heavy contingents of Rangers personnel conducted house to house search in Nawa Lane, Afshani Gali and Sangolin areas. Several suspects were arrested during the operation.

Separately, Rangers have raided the residence of Uzair Baloch, the chief of banned Peace Committee in Lyari.

According to IG East Munir Sheikh, police have arrested 38 suspected criminals including nine fugitives during raids in different parts of the East Zone.

SP East Pir Muhammad Shah said that police arrested alleged target killer Tanvir from Gulistan-e-Johar area. Weapons, drugs and cash was seized from his possession.

The suspect has confessed to killing two people and has given information about two of his accomplices, he added.

On the other hand, SSP East Irfan baloch told media that three gang war suspects have been arrested from Machar Colony.

He said that two commando jackets, AK-47s and bullets have also been confiscated during raids.
