JCSC pledges to safeguard country's territorial integrity

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) - The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Meeting (JCSC) here on Tuesday discussed operational situation at the borders and expressed in unequivocal terms that territorial integrity of the country will be safeguarded at all cost.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shameem Wynne.
It was attended by Chief of Army Staff‚ General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani‚ Chief of Naval Staff‚ Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila and Chief of Air Staff‚ Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt alongwith senior military officers from the three services.
JCSC is a platform to discuss‚ exchange and evaluates opinions of services chief on the operational preparedness of the Armed Forces.
Being a quarterly moot of senior military leadership it focuses on all the issues related to the national security challenges being faced by the country.
The emerging geo-strategic environment‚ internal security along with matters related to tri-service operational readiness were discussed at length.
